D.PHIL. DOCTORATE IN BUSINESS, MANAGEMENT, ECONOMICS & IT

The Doctorate of Philosophy (DPhil) is recognized worldwide as a research program. You will choose a specialist area of research, write a thesis based on your research and then complete a defense. At the defense, you will present, discuss and defend your research thesis to a panel of academic experts in the field.

D.Phil:

This program is fully online. You will be allocated a research supervisor who will guide your research and you will communicate regularly with your supervisor by email and video conference. When your supervisor agrees that you are ready to defend your thesis, the defense will be by video conference with a panel of experts, although you may choose to come to Switzerland for the defense if you wish.

This program is equivalent to EQF (European Qualifications Framework) Level 8 - Doctorate Level. In this program there are no assignments or exams, it is a pure research program. this is part of the Ph.D. program.

What is the word count for my thesis? 

A Doctorate of Philosophy thesis is normally between 45.000 – 60.000 words (from chapter 1 to chapter 5).

How long does my thesis take?

You may take up to 6 years to complete your thesis. The average time taken to complete the thesis is 3 years. The minimum time is 2 years.

Are there any subjects to study?

No, this is a 100% thesis-based doctoral program.

Duration: From 2 Years up 7 years thesis based (Swiss System: The duration of the Doctorate is not standard: usually, it is between 2 and 7 years, depending on the research field, the institution and the employment (part-time/full time). A Doctorate in natural and exact sciences usually takes about 4-8 years. In economics, the duration is only 2-6 years. In arts and humanities, a Doctorate is generally completed in 5-7 years.)

Students who complete their dissertations should embark on a career within government (if possible), academic institutions or research-based organizations focused on improving the policies that affect people’s daily lives. One of the primary focuses of these Ph.D. programs is delving into the question of what governments should do within a society and how they can govern more effectively and fairly. There are some master's degrees students can obtain prior to embarking on a Ph.D. It will allow students to complete this Ph.D. a bit faster. Some examples include a Master in Public Administration or a Master in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.

This Ph.D. will allow a student to pursue effectively their passion for making the world a more sustainable place by working toward solutions that tackle some of the most challenging social issues around the globe. Yes, and we recommend students do it in Switzerland. However it can be done ONLINE too, you need a camera and microphone.

This program is offered in cooperation with Taurida National V.I.Vernadsky University a European State university founded in 1918

This Doctorate Program has it focuses on a specialized section of the law that deals with agency rules, government regulations, and precedents at the local, state, and then federal levels. Examples of main courses include Administrative Process, Theory of Administrative Actions, Judicial Review, Administrative Procedure Act, Agency Organization, Promulgation, and Determination of Administrative Regulations.

The course specialization includes International Law, International Private Law, International Litigation, International Trade Regulation, and European Business Law. Coursework involves intensive research in the fields of criminal law, legal writing, advanced economic concepts, civil procedures, organizational leadership, legislation, and regulation.

LL.D.:

The Curriculum includes research in the areas that are related to the creation of wills, probates, and estate administration. Candidates will be able to enter the field of academia after their successful submission of a thesis that is based on their areas of specialization. Specializations may include global leadership, health policies, interdisciplinary policy studies, local and international government management for sustainable communities, public management and leadership, and terrorism.

Administrative Law graduates will have expert knowledge of estate administration, taxation, family provisions, and litigation. They can pursue law careers with corporations, business consultancy firms, insurance companies, legal agencies, non-profit organizations, financial institutions, and trade regulation organizations.
