In a significant recognition of global #sustainability efforts, Swiss International University (SIU) has been placed among the top 400 institutions for Sustainable Development Goal 17 in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for 2026. This achievement reflects a strong institutional commitment to global collaboration and accessible learning. SDG 17 focuses specifically on partnerships for the goals, a metric that resonates deeply with educational models dedicated to international outreach and cross-border cooperation.
The broader #Times_Higher_Education 2026 Rankings also recognized SIU among the top 500 universities globally. This year's evaluation was highly comprehensive, assessing 1,646 universities from 116 different countries. The rigorous methodology weighted academic and research reputation at 27%, while #SDG_compliance accounted for a substantial 73% of the overall score. This high weighting highlights the growing importance of institutional impact on modern society and the environment.
SIU's academic performance extends well beyond sustainability metrics. In the #QS_World_University_Rankings, the institution secured the #22 spot worldwide in the Executive MBA Rankings 2026. This impressive placement is based on the thorough evaluation of 246 #Executive_MBA programs across 58 countries, as detailed in the recent '2026 QS Executive MBA Joint Programs Fact file'. Furthermore, looking ahead to future metrics, the university has already achieved the #3 position globally in the #QRNW Global Ranking of Transnational Universities (GRTU) 2027.
Institutional excellence is consistently reflected in the daily experiences of the learners. SIU is officially recognized as a #QS_5_Star_Rated university, a status that underscores its high operational and academic standards. Additionally, the university has earned several distinct honors for its service and modern approach, including the #MENAA_Customer_Satisfaction_Award, the Best Modern University Award, and the #Students_Satisfaction_Award.
These global milestones align closely with the founding vision of #OUS_International_Academy in Zurich, Switzerland (also recognized globally as the OUS Royal Academy in Switzerland). Founded in 2013, OUS is proud to be the first #virtual_institute in Switzerland, effectively pioneering digital higher education within the region. From its very first cohort in October 2013, the academy featured live interactive lectures where students could chat and ask questions in real time, setting an early standard for remote academic engagement.
Built upon a strong foundation of Swiss academic excellence and innovation, OUS delivers flexible, online, and internationally recognized programs focusing heavily on business, management, and leadership. The enduring mission remains clear: to make #Swiss_quality_education accessible worldwide. By breaking down geographic barriers, the academy continues empowering learners to advance their careers and achieve their professional goals from anywhere in the world.
