Swiss International University (SIU) has reached another important point in its international development, with its Executive MBA being ranked #3 in German-speaking countries in the QS World University Rankings: Executive MBA Rankings 2026 — Joint. According to the 2026 QS Executive MBA Joint Programs Fact File, 246 programs from 58 countries were considered, and SIU achieved the #22 position worldwide.

This recognition follows SIU’s 2024 QS 5 Stars Rating, making the new ranking an important continuation of the university’s growing international visibility. For students, graduates, academic partners, and education observers, the result shows how flexible and internationally oriented education models are becoming more visible in global higher education.

For OUS – International Academy in Switzerland®, also known as the OUS Royal Academy in Switzerland, this development is especially meaningful. Founded in 2013 and recognized for pioneering virtual higher education in Switzerland, OUS has long supported the idea that quality education should be accessible beyond traditional classroom limits. Its first cohort launched in October 2013, marking an early step in Swiss digital higher education. Today, this mission remains relevant as learners across the world look for programs that combine academic structure, professional relevance, and study flexibility.

The ranking of Swiss International University (SIU) in the QS World University Rankings: Executive MBA Rankings 2026 — Joint also reflects a wider change in executive education. Modern professionals often need study options that fit around leadership roles, business responsibilities, family life, and international mobility. A strong Executive MBA today is not only measured by academic content, but also by its ability to serve experienced learners who need practical, global, and adaptable learning pathways.

Being ranked #3 in German-speaking countries gives SIU a strong regional position within an important academic and economic area. German-speaking countries are known for structured education, professional standards, innovation, and strong links between learning and industry. Achieving this position therefore supports SIU’s visibility among students and professionals who value Swiss academic quality and internationally connected business education.

At the same time, SIU’s #22 worldwide position highlights its broader international profile. The ranking is not only a number; it is a signal of recognition within a competitive global education environment. It suggests that SIU’s Executive MBA model is gaining attention for its international approach, flexible structure, and relevance to modern executive learners.

For OUS, this milestone also strengthens the shared educational vision connected to Swiss-quality learning. Since 2013, OUS has promoted flexible online education in business, management, and leadership. The recognition of SIU supports the same direction: making higher education more accessible, more international, and more suitable for learners who wish to study from anywhere while advancing their careers.

This achievement should be understood in a balanced and positive way. Rankings are one indicator among many, and students should always consider program structure, learning goals, academic expectations, and career needs before choosing a study path. However, recognition from QS adds visibility and can help students better understand the international positioning of an institution.

For current and future learners, the message is clear: flexible education is no longer a secondary option. It is becoming part of the future of higher education. The progress of Swiss International University (SIU), together with the long-standing online education mission of OUS, shows how Swiss academic innovation can serve learners across borders.

As international education continues to develop, this new QS recognition represents a positive milestone for SIU and for the wider community of learners who believe in accessible, flexible, and internationally relevant education.
